Esports Summit (ESS), Egypt’s largest esports and gaming event, continues its expansion with the launch of its sixth edition in September 2026, targeting approximately 15,000 visitors, following the success of its 2025 edition, which attracted more than 10,000 attendees, with plans to further strengthen ESS’s position as one of Egypt’s leading events, bringing together the gaming and esports community through an experience built around competition, entertainment, and audience engagement.

The sixth edition of ESS is held in partnership with the Egyptian Esports Federation, reinforcing the summit’s position as an event operating in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the gaming and esports sector in Egypt. The partnership also reflects ESS’s presence as a prominent event on the country’s gaming and esports calendar, connecting the event with the different stakeholders shaping the sector.

The sixth edition will also introduce Gen Gamers Arena, one of the key components of the 2026 ESS experience, designed to bring gamers of different ages, generations, and skill levels together to compete across a variety of games and gaming platforms, with a focus on expanding the concept of competition to include all categories of gamers alongside more competitive players, allowing the esports experience to extend beyond professional competitors and every visitor to step into the atmosphere of competition.

For the 2026 edition, FWZ, the event organiser and owner of the ESS IP, has increased the total value of prizes and giveaways to EGP 1,500,000. Visitors will be able to participate in games and activities throughout Gen Gamers Arena, collect points through gameplay, and redeem those points for a range of prizes and giveaways, transforming the visitor experience from simply attending the event into actively participating in its activities.

FWZ will also introduce a micro and nano-creators program that is dedicated to supporting emerging content creators, involving them in the event while providing them with tools and resources to help produce content and invite their own communities to experience ESS. The initiative aims to provide young creators with a meaningful boost in their creative journey, while positioning the event as a platform that recognises and supports an important part of the gaming ecosystem and contributes to its growth across multiple dimensions.

With a target of 15,000 visitors for its sixth edition, ESS continues to build on the growth achieved over previous years, benefiting from the expanding gaming and esports community in Egypt and the increasing demand for events that allow audiences to actively participate in the experience rather than simply watch competitions.

Commenting on this, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Latif, CEO of FWZ Esports, said that ESS has demonstrated across its previous editions, and under different circumstances over the years, that the gaming sector in the Middle East has strong and promising audience demand for events that allow fans to pursue their passion in an environment that matches their expectations for the scale and professionalism of global events.

He added that from the launch of ESS in 2018, the event’s primary objective has been to create an experience that brings gamers in Egypt together while providing them with a professional environment and greater opportunities to participate and engage within a community united by a shared passion. This vision, he noted, has continued to guide the company as it developed and expanded the event across subsequent editions.

By combining open competition, diverse gaming experiences, prizes, and direct audience participation, the sixth edition of the ESS aims to create a space where different segments of the gaming community can come together under one roof, while continuing to develop the gaming and esports experience in Egypt.
