SOFTSWISS has taken a step into one of the fastest-evolving segments of online wagering with the launch of its new product, SOFTSWISS Prediction Markets. The B2B solution is designed to help operators tap into event-driven betting without the technical and operational hurdles typically associated with exchange-based models.

At its core, the offering allows online casinos and sportsbooks to introduce markets built around real-world outcomes – from political developments and economic indicators to technology trends and cultural moments. Unlike traditional sports betting, where engagement is often tied to teams and competitions, prediction markets appeal to users motivated by their interpretation of global events.

The rollout has been structured with speed in mind. Existing SOFTSWISS partners can deploy the product within a matter of days, while new operators can expect a full integration in a few weeks. The solution can function either as a standalone iFrame widget or as a native addition within the company’s sportsbook platform, giving operators flexibility depending on their existing setup.

The timing reflects a broader shift in the market. In the United States, trading volumes tied to prediction-style platforms have surged dramatically, growing from a relatively modest base in 2024 to tens of billions of dollars within a year. While dedicated platforms have already captured significant traction, many traditional iGaming operators have yet to establish a presence in the space.

According to Olga Resiga, Chief Business Development Officer at SOFTSWISS, the appeal lies in the type of user these markets attract.

“This isn’t just a natural extension of sportsbook audiences,” she notes. “We’re seeing a different kind of engagement, where users are participating based on their knowledge of current events rather than loyalty to teams or leagues. That opens the door to entirely new player segments.”

A key differentiator in SOFTSWISS’ approach is its reliance on a fixed-odds model. While many prediction market platforms operate as peer-to-peer exchanges — requiring external liquidity and dynamic pricing — the fixed-odds structure allows operators to retain control over margins and risk management. For operators already familiar with sportsbook mechanics, this significantly lowers the barrier to entry.

Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of Operations at SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, frames it as a practical solution to a growing strategic question.

“Operators are increasingly aware of the opportunity in prediction markets, but the challenge has been integration,” he explains. “Rebuilding infrastructure around exchange-based systems is not realistic for most. A fixed-odds model allows them to experiment within frameworks they already understand, while still accessing a new layer of demand.”

As competition intensifies across traditional verticals, the move into adjacent categories such as prediction markets signals a broader shift in how operators are thinking about product expansion. For those willing to move early, the opportunity may lie less in competing for existing sportsbook users – and more in capturing audiences that have, until now, remained outside the iGaming ecosystem.
